Pharmacy Careers Summit 2026: Elite Expertise Celebrates Its Third Consecutive Year as an Exhibitor

Bringing the Pharmacy Community Together

We are delighted that on 10 July 2026 we were able to bring together thousands of pharmacy students, interns, practising pharmacists, internationally qualified pharmacists, employers, educators, regulators and industry leaders for one of Australia's largest virtual events the Pharmacy Careers Summit 2026 (PCS26).

PCS26 was held fully online and featured a full day of insightful discussions, career guidance, networking opportunities and professional development sessions covering topics. From the future of pharmacy practice and registration pathways through to leadership, salary trends and pharmacy ownership. For many pharmacists at all stages of their careers, PCS26 was a goldmine of valuable knowledge.

This year’s summit marked a proud milestone for Elite Expertise. Our return as an official exhibitor for the third consecutive year. We’re thrilled with the opportunity to continue our efforts in supporting those who have trained and obtained qualifications overseas but also want to build a successful career in Australia or indeed elsewhere!

Throughout the event, our Elite Expertise team has been connecting with pharmacists from all different backgrounds. We’ve been listening to your career aspirations and answering questions along the way. And we’ve been sharing knowledge built through many years’ worth of clinical and educational experiences.

Each interaction has shown us the increasing ambitions across our global pharmacy community and just how crucial expert mentorship can be throughout this part of your journey.

Pharmacy Careers Summit Continued to Grow as Australia's Leading Virtual Pharmacy Event

For over a decade, our annual Pharmacy Careers Summit (PCS) event has grown to become one of Australia’s most recognised virtual events focused on all aspects of pharmacy careers & professional development. Unlike other industry-wide conferences that focus on just clinical education, we uniquely combine career development, leadership, networking, recruitment, business & workforce trends into one accessible platform.

Our 2026 summit was attended by participants across Australia and overseas. This allows people studying, working as an intern/practicing pharmacist or internationally qualified professionals to attend without needing to travel. Our virtual setting also enables you to easily access educational content, connect with employers, visit exhibitors’ booths and interact with leading organisations around the world - regardless of where you're based!

A Day Focused on the Future of Pharmacy

During PCS26 we explored just how rapidly our pharmacy profession evolves! Our expert speakers throughout the day spoke about the growing role pharmacists play in Australia’s healthcare landscape as well as some exciting new career opportunities emerging in community, hospital, aged care, primary healthcare, leadership, business ownership and much more!

These experiences were particularly insightful for many pharmacy students and early career pharmacists, who received valuable knowledge extending beyond their university education and into practical practice.

Learning From Australia's Pharmacy Leaders

The most important and disappointing part of the summit was the impressive speaker lines that featured respected leaders representing Australian major pharmacy organizations. The opening leadership panel set the tone for the day by exploring the future business direction for the profession, expanding insights of participants, workforce challenges, healthcare reforms and new opportunities for pharmacists.

Elite Expertise Proudly Returned for the Third Consecutive Year

The PCS26 event was incredibly significant for our whole organisation representing far more than another exhibition. As we return once again as an official exhibitor for the third consecutive year, this highlights our continuing commitment to supporting those internationally qualified pharmacists through their registration & career journey.

This summit has developed over time into one of the most important events where our Elite Expertise team can connect with pharmacy professionals worldwide, understand their challenges and offer them advice that draws upon both our own clinical practice & extensive mentoring experience.

Today we had great visits to our Elite Expertise virtual booth with visitors coming from around the globe - Australia, India, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland and more!

We received several requests from those who had recently graduated and wished to learn more about the Australian registration pathway. And we also saw many experienced pharmacists looking at options outside Australia, whether it be for employment purposes or they are planning for examination towards licensing in another country.

Every Conversation Had a Story

Our team likes to meet people from different backgrounds who are passionate about making the most of their pharmacy career, so one of the most rewarding experiences at this year’s Pharmacy Careers Summit 2026 has been meeting with those pharmacists who have similar ambitions.

The team at Elite Expertise spent time talking through career aspirations with pharmacy students, interns, practising pharmacists, as well as those internationally qualified looking at opportunities to take their career forward overseas.

Many visitors were keen to explore whether Australia was the right country for them. Others came armed with questions around the OPRA Exam registration pathway and what they needed to do to become a registered pharmacist. Some attendees were comparing options available within Australia and beyond, including New Zealand, Canada, Ireland and even the Gulf region, and identifying a path that aligned with their personal goals.

We’ve talked with pharmacists balancing full-time work roles with preparation for licensing exams and pharmacists wanting to restart their careers in pharmacy after taking time out from the profession. They all shared the same sentiment  creating a successful career abroad isn’t just about sitting down and passing an exam but instead requiring confidence, clinical knowledge, communication skills and knowledge of a new health care environment.

These conversations have reaffirmed our commitment at Elite Expertise to provide support to pharmacists throughout all stages of their professional journey.

The Questions Pharmacists Are Asking Are Changing

One of our most notable observations from PCS26 was seeing how far our conversations on careers have come since we first started exploring this topic with you all just over recent years! In addition to learning about examination format and eligibility requirements, people were excited to learn more about general career options that exist once they registered.

Questions frequently centred on topics such as:

  • Which country offers the strongest long-term career prospects?

  • What qualities do Australian employers value most?

  • How can pharmacists prepare for expanding regional roles?

  • How important are communication skills in everyday pharmacy practice?

  • How can working professionals prepare effectively while managing full-time employment?

  • What career opportunities become available after registration?

Across these discussions we heard much about how our profession will continue to develop as it takes more responsibility for clinical care, embraces digital health innovation and puts patients at the centre of everything we do – supported by a commitment to lifelong professional development.

It was encouraging to hear pharmacists thinking beyond exam success and planning to build sustainable and rewarding careers.

A Proud Milestone for Elite Expertise

This year marks three years since we first brought our teams together at the Pharmacy Careers Summit. Returning for the third year in a row was therefore an important milestone for us at Elite Expertise.

The annual event offered many exciting opportunities to engage more deeply with aspiring pharmacists, as well as build stronger connections throughout the pharmacy profession generally, including those within our own organisation, while also providing greater insight into the evolving needs of internationally qualified pharmacy graduates.

Alongside these student and pharmacist interactions, the summit allowed valuable conversations with educators, recruiters, pharmacy owners, professional organisations and regulators.

Interactions such as these are helping Elite Expertise develop its educational programmes with the aim of providing pharmacists with all the latest and most relevant guidance they need during their registration journey.

Reflections from the Leadership Team

On success of PCS26, Arief Mohammad Co founder and director of of Elite Expertise said:

Returning to the pharmacist video summary for the third consecutive year as a proud achievement for our team. Every conversation reminds us that international qualified pharmacists have tremendous potential. With the right guidance and preparation, they can confidently achieve their registration goals and build rewarding careers abroad.

Harika Bheemavarupu Co founder and director of of Elite Expertise said:

The determination and enthusiasm we saw from the summit are truly inspiring. We meet pharmacists from different backgrounds, all working towards the same goal of achieving their careers. It was a privilege to be a part of those conversations and support them as they planned their steps.

More Than Just a One-Day Event

Despite our conclusion to PCS26, we know your conversations and professional relationships have only just begun! This summit proved time and time again that the journey doesn’t end at graduation  continuous education, mentorship, networking and professional development are integral aspects of all stages of a pharmacist’s career.

Participating in PCS26 once again reaffirmed the critical need for us at Elite Expertise to provide international qualification pharmacists with trusted support, quality education and real world career advice.

As the pharmacy profession continues to evolve, events like the Pharmacy Careers Summit will remain an important platform for bringing together future pharmacists, educators, employers, regulators, and industry leaders to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.
